In a few words, I have started my career 15 years ago, coming from the very basic roles in IT departments, and moving all the way up to IT management. I consider myself as self-made on the technical side, as all has been learned on my own, but I have the luxury to have experimented most of the roles we have in an IT/tech unit, which also allows me to better judge what is feasible and what is not. Academically, I own a bachelor in business studies, and an MBA, done in Madrid. I like to believe, my strengths are exactly at the fact I can combine technical knowledge with a business perspective, which makes my decision making more aligned with business strategy, but at the same time, fully linked with the relevant technology strategy.
Over the past 15 years, a lot has changed regarding technology, but that has never prevented me to be successful in all the challenges I have picked up, and I’m proud of what I have achieved so far. In 2019 I’m nominated to the award of the European CIO of the year. I trust such a prestigious award is also the market recognition of the work I have done, which is something I’m proud of.
