At a time when organisations should be maximising the potential of their human resources and talent, women remain under-utilised in the digital labour market and are scarce in management and leadership roles.
Socitm responded to this situation by creating it’s Empowering Women in a Digital World (EWDW) programme, aimed at aspiring female managers in roles that mobilise technology and are looking for significant personal growth. The syllabus focuses on individual leadership development of the women working with technology, predominantly in public services. A draft policy briefing has been prepared which presents our emergent findings from qualitative interviews/case studies, and seeks to celebrate the achievements of participants whilst presenting an analytical framework to interpret their experiences.
