Detective Chief Inspector FALCON Cyber Crime Unit, Metropolitan Police Service

Gary Miles has over 30 years’ experience as a Police Officer in the metropolitan Police, 20 of which has been as a Detective and 10 of which has spent in the field of Complex Fraud and Cyber Crime. He is a Detective Chief Inspector who was part of the original team responsible for the design and implementation of the Metropolitan Police’s Operation Falcon (Fraud and Linked Crime Online).

He currently has responsibility for all of the MPS resources responsible for delivering proactive prevention activities to:

Protect people from becoming victims of Fraud and Cyber Crime by strengthening safeguards awareness and resilience.

Prevent and deter those who would commit Fraud and Cyber crime.

Reduce the harm caused by Fraud and Cyber-crime through improved victim identification and support.
