Jacob Abboud

Jacob Abboud is Chief Information Officer of Allianz Insurance plc.  The company is focused on the provision of property and casualty insurance to commercial and personal customers in Great Britain and is the UK insurance arm of Allianz SE, the global financial services provider and the world’s largest general insurer.

Jacob is also a Board Non Executive Director (NED) at the MIB (Motor Insurers Bureau) and has recently been appointed as a NED for Premier Business Care Brokers. Prior to this, Jacob was IT Director Savings, Insurance and Digital at Legal & General.  Prior to that, Jacob worked at a technology product company, Fluency, as the Chief Technology Officer and VP of Product Development.

Jacob also held roles in Retail Banking & Credit Cards as well as Investment Banking. He is an Engineering graduate of the University of Bath where he was also awarded a Doctor of Philosophy in Computer-Aided Engineering.  He is a Chartered member of the British Computer Society and also the Chartered Insurance Institute.
