CIO, Nissan Ireland
Rory has spent over fifteen years as CIO of Nissan Ireland, where he is responsible for all technology, information systems and innovation, as well as facilities management and contracts management. He is responsible for the introduction of VoIP, Virtualisation, Clustering, Business Continuity, and is also responsible for security and systems availability, and company relocations.
Prior to joining Nissan, he was the Head of I.T. for the Irish Stock Exchange in Dublin for three years, where he oversaw the transition from tracking share prices on blackboards to a fully online trading system hosted on the Deutsche Börse Xetra platform in Frankfort – a project that was completed in just five months.
He is a past board member and President of the Association of Information Managers in Ireland (AIMI), is a member of ITSMF Ireland, IASA Global, and the Irish Computer Society. He also spent eleven years working in the cable TV industry.
