Detective Superintendent National Cybercrime Programme Lead, National Police Chiefs' Council

As the detective Superintendent National Cyber Crime Programme lead, Andrew support and advises Police forces, Regional Organised Crime Units, National Crime Agency and the National Cyber Security Centre on cyber incident responses during major cyber-attacks.

He is also working with the Home Office, Cabinet Office and intelligence agencies to build the UK’s collective cybercrime incident response and investigations capability and capacity.

Andrew Gould is the former Deputy Head of FALCON, a 320 strong group established as part of the Serious Organised and Economic Crime Command by the Commissioner in October 2014 to tackle cybercrime and fraud in London.  As a Senior Investigating Officer, he lead the FALCON Taskforce, a proactive team running covert operations and investigations against Organised Crime Networks engaged in cyber enabled fraud.  He also supported the FALCON’s Prevention teams including the police contribution to the London Digital Security Centre (LDSC).  The LDSC is an innovative collaboration between the private sector, police and academia providing general prevention messaging and tailored advice as well as utilising student ethical hackers to provide subsidised penetration testing and other services to Small and Medium-sized Enterprises in London.  Prior to taking up his role in FALCON DCI Gould was a Senior Investigating Officer in the Counter Terrorism Command running terrorism investigations in the UK and abroad.
